This inaugural event takes place October 6-11 timed to the Draconid meteor shower, with exclusive products and celebrations at select local game stores globally

AARHUS, Denmark, Oct. 6, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Dragon Shield, a global leader in premium trading card game accessories, today announced the kick off of Dragonfall, a new annual tradition celebrating dragons, fantasy storytelling, and the communities that gather around the games they love.

Timed to the Draconid meteor shower, this year's Dragonfall runs October 6-11 bringing an exclusive product release and special events to local game stores around the globe. Dragonfall is designed to unite and celebrate the passion for the hobby wherever fans gather: in stores, online, or around the table.

The Dragon Shield Dragonfall 2026 Collection features exclusive artwork by Godfrey Escota, the artist behind more than 100 dragons in Arcania, Dragon Shield's fantasy universe. Rendered in a stained-glass style, the art depicts the celebrations in the mortal realm, the dragons of Arcania, and the Herald announcing the arrival of this year's dragon. The collection debuts Dragon Shield's first-ever Borderless Matte Dual Art Sleeves alongside a Dragonfall 2026 Playmat showcasing the full artwork.

"Dragonfall is our way of honoring the players, the artists, and the stores who make this hobby what it is," said Mike Ballog, VP, Dragon Shield. "We wanted to give this community something to look forward to every year. This moment is as much about celebration as it is about the incredible products and stories that bring dragons to life. This inaugural year is just the first chapter, and we can't wait to see Dragonfall grow in years to come."

Beginning October 6^th, the Dragonfall 2026 Collection will be available in limited quantities on DragonShield.com and at select store locations worldwide, while supplies last. Check your local game store for product availability and information about upcoming Dragonfall events.
